Between 2016 and 2021 I was a long-term member of the team at social media agency OK COOL, for which I was lead designer. For one of their biggest clients; Taco Bell UK, I acted as art director and, working closely with production manager Jamie-Lee Peppera, we developed a new creative direction for Taco Bell UK’s Instagram account.
The goal was to emanate a late 90’s / Y2K aesthetic across all graphics, animations and photo-shoots to give it a youthful look and feel in comparison to our fast-food competitor brands. We also applied this aesthetic across Taco Bell’s collaboration campaigns with MLB (Major League Baseball) and Robinson’s Fruit Juice (both listed below). A lifestyle shoot was produced later with a treatment from creative director Maisie Post. The results to date have been extremely positive - with an overall increase in post engagement.
